Michael Sheen, Business Director, and Steve Dobbs , Engineer, invited Gav and Shaun to the RGK factory in Burntwood last week to test the prototype 20/20 wheelchair they have designed.
For the past few years RGK and the team have supported Shaun with designing and sponsoring his OCR and Kiliwheels wheelchairs with the added provision of the AMAZING Frontwheel. This has allowed Shaun to actually go through terrain which you wouldn’t expect a wheelchair to roll through.
RGK has a belief which Shaun and Gav fully support……
“BELIEVE IN ALL YOU SET OUT TO ACHIEVE. YOUR GOALS ARE OUR AMBITION. TIME IS PRECIOUS. LIVE THIS MOMENT. FEEL THE RUSH. LEAVE YOUR INSIGNIA. SUCCESS. ASPIRE TO INSPIRE"
"Over twenty-five years ago, we observed the wheelchair market and decided to change it radically, to provide each wheelchair user with the potential to live their life to the full with a chair fit for each individual purpose. Today we continue to innovate, so that you can believe, live, inspire.
The freedom to explore, to go further, to maximise your potential and achieve your goals are our prime motivators. A product that will be an integral part of your core being is our aim.”
After a morning of testing and feedback to Steve, some added alterations have been identified and these will be amended over the next few weeks. Michael and Steve are looking at having BOTH wheelchairs ready to go in the next 3 weeks and both Gav and Shaun can then really teat and train in them.
They have both signed for the Manchester 10km in May and will be pushing the course in the wheelchairs. This is also to support the Lancaster Bulldogs Wheelchair Basketball Team who will have players pushing alongside them.
Gav and Shaun can't thank the whole team at RGK enough for their continued support.
